01 · The symptom

Is your data sitting in reports nobody acts on?

Most businesses are not short of data. They are short of a version of it everyone agrees on, delivered early enough to change a decision.

Data scattered across disconnected systems

Nobody can answer a simple question quickly.

Reports rebuilt by hand every month

Two days of somebody senior, gone, every month.

Two reports, two different answers

The meeting argues about the number, not the decision.

Numbers that arrive too late to act on

Last month’s truth, delivered next month.

Dashboards nobody actually opens

Forty tiles, no decision attached to any of them.

KPIs that are not tied to a decision

Measured because it was easy to measure.

Planning by instinct instead of evidence

Budgets set on the loudest opinion in the room.

Spreadsheets as the reporting system

One formula error away from a wrong decision.

02 · What BI actually is

What is business intelligence, and where does it start?

Business intelligence is the work of turning operational data into decisions, and it starts three steps before the dashboard. First, integration: pulling Odoo, CRM platforms, websites, finance tools and custom databases into one reporting layer instead of a folder of exports. Second, preparation: cleaning, structuring and automating the flow so the numbers can be trusted. Third, agreeing definitions — what counts as revenue, an active customer, a closed job — because most reporting arguments are definition arguments wearing a chart. Only then is a dashboard worth building. We work in Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio and Odoo’s own BI modules, and we choose between them based on who has to read the report rather than on what we prefer to build.

03 · Our analytics services

What data analytics services does KoderXpert provide?

KoderXpert provides four data analytics services: data integration and preparation, exploratory data analysis, data visualization and dashboard development, and data storytelling for business analytics. They are sequential rather than optional — a dashboard built on unintegrated, uncleaned data will be quietly wrong, and a wrong dashboard is more dangerous than none because people act on it. Most engagements begin with integration and a short exploratory pass, which usually surfaces two or three findings worth acting on before any dashboard exists. Delivery is in Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio or custom Odoo BI modules. Because we are an Odoo Ready Partner with 134+ ERP projects behind us, we read the operational schema directly rather than reverse-engineering it from exports.

04 · How we work

How long does it take to get a dashboard we trust?

Six stages, and a first useful dashboard on one clean source usually lands in two to four weeks. Discovery starts from the decisions you need to make rather than the data you happen to have, which is what stops a project producing forty tiles nobody opens. The source audit is where timelines genuinely move: if the data is clean and the definitions are settled, the build is fast; if two systems disagree about the same customer, that gets fixed first. Modelling fixes the definitions once. Exploratory analysis finds the patterns worth showing. The build follows, scoped to one audience per dashboard. Then adoption: we train the users, watch what actually gets opened after ninety days, and remove what does not.

05 · Why KoderXpert

Why choose KoderXpert for business intelligence?

Most BI vendors arrive after the ERP is built. We build the ERP, so we already know where your numbers come from and what they mean.

We build the systems the data comes from

As an Odoo Ready Partner with 134+ ERP projects, we know the schema behind your numbers instead of guessing at it.

Clean data first, pretty charts second

A dashboard on unreliable data is worse than no dashboard, because people act on it.

One definition per metric

We write the definitions down and build from them, so finance and sales stop reporting different revenue.

Scoped to the audience

A CEO dashboard and a warehouse dashboard are different products. We do not ship one and call it both.

Automated refresh, not manual exports

If a human has to touch it monthly, it will eventually stop happening.

Adoption measured, not assumed

We check what actually gets opened after ninety days and remove the rest.

07 · Who it is for

Who are these data analytics services built for?

They support teams that need faster reporting, clearer visibility and better decisions: manufacturing and retail operations tracking efficiency and waste in real time, finance teams monitoring costs and ROI, marketing teams tracking campaign results and lead sources, and CEOs and business heads watching KPIs and risk. The one prerequisite is that the underlying data exists somewhere, even messily. Where it genuinely does not — where a process has never been recorded — analytics is the wrong first project and fixing the operational system comes before reporting on it. We will say so, and we happen to be well placed to fix it, which is a different conversation rather than a bigger invoice on this one.

Manufacturing and retail: efficiency, waste and real-time operations
Finance teams: cost control, ROI measurement and confident budgeting
Marketing teams: campaign results, lead sources and conversion performance
CEOs and business heads: growth opportunities, KPIs and risk
Logistics and warehousing: throughput, delays and capacity
Professional services: utilisation, margin and project profitability

if the data is not there, we will say so

09 · Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Answered here, so the first call can start somewhere more useful.

It depends on who reads the report. Power BI suits most businesses that need governed, scheduled reporting; Looker Studio is fine and free for marketing dashboards; Tableau earns its cost where analysts explore data daily; and Odoo’s own dashboards win when the audience will never open a separate tool. We recommend before we build.

Often not. For a single ERP plus a few tools, a modelled layer inside the BI tool is enough and far cheaper. A warehouse becomes worth it when data volume, multiple sources or history retention outgrow that. We will say which situation you are in rather than defaulting to the bigger build.

A first useful dashboard on one clean source usually takes two to four weeks. What extends a project is not the charts; it is data quality and disagreements about definitions, which is why we handle both before the build starts.

It is normal, and it is most of the work. Deduplication, unit and type consistency, master data alignment and validation rules come before any visual. We will show you what we found rather than quietly patching it.

Yes. We work with Zoho, HubSpot, Shopify, GA4, ad platforms, SQL databases, flat files and custom APIs. Odoo is where most of our clients start, not the limit.

You can, and we build for that: documented models, named measures and a walkthrough for your team. If you would rather we kept it running, it can sit under a support pack.

Near real-time, yes, and often you should not. Scheduled refresh a few times a day is cheaper, calmer and enough for most decisions. We reserve live refresh for operational screens where minutes genuinely matter.

No, and we would be sceptical of anyone promising that. It removes the manual rebuilding so your analysts spend their time on the analysis, which is the part software cannot do.

The rest of the practice

Six practices, one company. Most clients end up using two or three.
